Ingredients
Chile Powder, Garlic, Onion, Cilantro, Salt, Beef Bouillon, Oil, and Spices.
What You'll Need
- 3–4 lbs protein of choice (beef, pork, or chicken)
- Water
- 2 lbs neck bones (optional)
- 1 can cooked hominy (or cooked hominy prepared separately)
- 1 Pozole Bomb
Crockpot Instructions
- Place meat and optional neck bones into slow cooker.
- Cover with water or broth.
- Add one Pozole Bomb.
- Cook on low 8–10 hours or high 4–6 hours until tender.
- Remove neck bones if used and shred meat.
- Add cooked hominy.
- Stir and cook an additional 30–45 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
Stovetop Instructions
- Add meat to a large pot.
- Cover with water about 2 inches above meat.
- Add one Pozole Bomb.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer.
- Skim foam as needed.
- Cook until meat is tender.
- Add cooked hominy and simmer 20–30 minutes.
- Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve.
Serving Size
Feeds 10–12 people.
